Mustee 3838CBN DURABASE NEO-ANGLE SHOWER FLOOR 38X38 BONE

The 3838CBN Durabase is a 38 by 38 inch neo-angle base, so it wants a square corner with two adjoining walls that each give you a full 38 inches of clear run from the corner. Neo-angle means the front is cut at an angle across the corner rather than straight, so the door opening faces diagonally into the room. Measure wall to corner both ways before you frame, and account for finished wall surface, not bare stud.

No. The 3838CBN is the shower floor only, a 38 by 38 neo-angle pan. The glass or acrylic neo-angle enclosure, the door, the drain trim and the mixing valve are all separate line items. On a multi-family or hotel job, order the enclosure at the same time so the door geometry matches the angled front of the pan.

A neo-angle base like the Mustee 3838 Durabase is for a corner install where you want the door to open into the room on a diagonal, which saves swing clearance in a tight bath. A square or rectangular base is the better call if the shower sits in an alcove between three walls, or if you are replacing a tub footprint. Neo-angle also assumes you are buying a matching neo-angle enclosure, since a standard square door will not follow the angled front.

Bone. That is the off-white/almond family rather than bright white, so if the toilet and lav in the room are true white the base will read warmer than they do. For a matched bathroom, pair it with bone fixtures or plan on the contrast.

Mustee part number 3838CBN. The 3838 is the 38 by 38 inch neo-angle footprint and the BN suffix is the bone color, so a white version of the same floor carries a different suffix. Quote 3838CBN on the purchase order so the color does not get substituted.
