Mustee 3636BT – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size opening does the Mustee 3636BT Durabase shower floor fit?
The Mustee 3636BT Durabase shower floor is a 36 by 36 inch square base, so it is sized for a standard 36 inch square shower alcove. If your framed opening is a rectangle (for example 60 by 32), this square base is not the one to order.
2) Is the Mustee 3636BT a shower pan only, or does it include walls and a drain?
It is a shower floor (base) only. The 3636BT Durabase is the pan that sits on the subfloor; wall surrounds, the drain assembly, and the valve trim are separate purchases and should be figured into the job material list.
3) What color is the Mustee 3636BT shower base?
Biscuit. If you are matching other fixtures in a unit or a group of apartments, biscuit is the off-white tone rather than bright white, so confirm the existing toilet and lav tone before standardizing on it across a building.
4) What is the manufacturer part number for the Mustee 36x36 biscuit Durabase shower floor?
Order it as Mustee model 3636BT. That is the manufacturer part number for the 36 by 36 inch Durabase shower floor in biscuit; the same base in a different color carries a different suffix, so quote the full 3636BT when ordering.
5) Where can I get the dimensional rough-in drawing for the Mustee 3636BT?
Mustee publishes a spec sheet for the 3636BT that carries the dimensional and rough-in detail, and it is linked directly from the product information for this base. Pull that sheet before framing so the drain location and curb height are set correctly.
