Mustee 3248BT – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size opening does the Mustee 3248BT Durabase shower floor fit?
The Mustee 3248BT Durabase is a 32 by 48 inch shower floor, so it suits an alcove framed to those nominal dimensions. Measure the rough opening wall to wall before framing or demo, since a 32 x 48 base will not drop into a 32 x 36 or 36 x 48 alcove.
2) What color is the Mustee 3248BT shower base?
Biscuit. The BT suffix on Mustee model 3248BT is the biscuit finish, so pair it with biscuit fixtures rather than white if you are matching an existing tub or lavatory in a multi-unit job.
3) Is the Mustee Durabase 3248BT a shower pan only, or does it include walls?
It is a shower floor (base) only. The 3248BT gives you the receptor and threshold; wall surrounds, the drain assembly, trim, and the valve are separate items you order to finish the shower.
4) What is the Mustee part number for a 32 x 48 biscuit shower floor?
Order Mustee 3248BT. That is the manufacturer part number for the 32 x 48 Durabase shower floor in biscuit, and it is the number to quote on a submittal or a replacement order.
