Mustee 3248BN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size opening does the Mustee 3248BN Durabase shower floor fit?
The Mustee 3248BN Durabase is a 32 by 48 inch shower floor, so it drops into an alcove framed for a 32 x 48 base. If your rough opening is a square 32 x 32 or a 36 x 48, this is the wrong footprint and you need the matching size base instead.
2) Is the Mustee 3248BN a shower pan only, or does it include walls and a drain?
It is the floor only. The 3248BN Durabase is a shower base, so the wall surround, drain assembly, and trim are separate purchases. Budget for a compatible shower drain and either a three-piece surround or tile board when you spec the job.
3) What color is the Mustee 3248BN shower base?
Bone. The BN suffix on Mustee's 3248 Durabase base is the bone color code, so if the tub, toilet, or surround in the unit is white, it will not match; order the white version of the same 32 x 48 base for that.
4) What part number should I order for a 32 x 48 bone Mustee Durabase?
Mustee part number 3248BN. That is the manufacturer part number for the 32 x 48 Durabase shower floor in bone, and it is the number to give a distributor or put on a submittal.
5) Where do I find the rough-in dimensions and drain location for the Mustee 3248BN?
Mustee publishes a spec sheet for the 3248BN, linked from the product information, and that is the document to pull rough-in dimensions and drain placement from before you frame or set the waste line.
