Mustee 3448BN DURABASE SHOWER FLOOR 34X48 BONE

The 3448BN Durabase is a 34 x 48 inch shower floor, so it is sized for an alcove or corner opening framed to those nominal dimensions. Confirm your rough framing matches 34 by 48 before you set it; a base of this style drops into the framed opening rather than being trimmed to fit.

It is the floor alone. The 3448BN Durabase is a shower base, so the surround panels, drain assembly, trap and door or curtain rod are all separate purchases. Plan the drain body and trap into your rough-in before the base goes down, since you lose access once it is set.

Bone. The BN suffix on the Mustee 3448 is the bone colorway, which is the warmer off-white used to coordinate with bone toilets, lavatories and tubs rather than a true white. If the rest of the bathroom group is white, order the white version of the 34 x 48 Durabase instead so the tones don't clash.

The 3448BN is a one-piece molded 34 x 48 floor, which is the faster path on turns: set it, connect the drain, and the waterproofing is the pan itself, with no mud bed, liner or tile work. A site-built tile pan is what you want when the opening is out of square or a nonstandard size that no molded base covers. For a standard 34 by 48 alcove, the molded base saves a trade and a day.

Order by the Mustee model 3448BN. The number reads as its own spec: 34 by 48 inches, BN for bone. The white and other colorways of the same 34 x 48 floor carry a different suffix, so the suffix is the part of the number to check against the submittal.
