Mustee 3448M – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size opening does the Mustee 3448M DuraBase shower floor fit?
The 3448M DuraBase is a 34 x 48 inch shower floor, so it's sized for a 34 by 48 inch alcove or framed shower opening. Frame the rough opening to those nominal dimensions and confirm the walls are square before setting the base. It is a floor pan only, so wall surrounds, the drain assembly, and the valve are separate items on the order.
2) Is the Mustee 3448M a full shower stall or just the base?
Just the base. The 3448M is a DuraBase shower floor, the pan that sits on the subfloor and carries the drain. Walls are handled separately with a surround kit or tile over backer board, so a contractor pricing a complete stall needs to add wall panels and the trim to the job.
3) I need a 34x48 shower pan for an apartment remodel - what part number should I order?
Mustee part number 3448M. That's the DuraBase 34 x 48 white shower floor, and the model number is what to put on the purchase order or hand to a distributor. Mustee's base model numbers read as the size, so 3448 is the 34 by 48 footprint.
