2) Is there an alternative filler plate if I am working with a Locknetics maglock instead of DynaLock?
Yes. For Locknetics magnets, the MFP50-MFP63 filler plates in 628 aluminum cover the MG Series, and the WFP50-WFP63 plates cover the WMG Series. The DynaLock 4014 is cut for the DynaLock 2268-10 / -15 and should not be crossed over to a Locknetics housing.
3) I am standardizing maglock accessories across a building. Does choosing DynaLock 4014 plates over Locknetics plates lock me into one magnet brand?
In practice, yes. The DynaLock 4014 filler plates are commercial installation accessories sized to the DynaLock 2268-10 / -15 magnet in 14 inch lengths, and the Locknetics MFP and WFP plates are tied to the MG and WMG series respectively. Standardize the magnet first across the openings, then carry the one plate family that matches it, rather than mixing plate lines in the same stockroom.
4) Do I need any wiring or electrical work to add this filler plate?
No wiring is involved. The plate is a mechanical shim that sits behind the magnet housing; it carries no current and does not interrupt the lock circuit. It is an access control accessory, so it goes in during the magnet mounting, not as a separate electrical step.
