B-Line Eaton series ground mounted panel enclosure, 74" height, 12" length, 72" width, 4X, Hinged cover, 4XSS6FD3PT enclosure, Ground mount, Large do

The Eaton B-Line 4XSS6FD3PT is built from 316 stainless steel in 12 gauge with a seamless poured in-place gasket, and carries a NEMA 4X rating. 316 is the marine grade alloy, so salt air, chemical washdown, and hose-down duty are what this body is for. 4X covers hosedown and corrosion resistance in addition to dust and driving rain.

74 inches high, 72 inches wide, and 12 inches deep. That 12 inch depth is the number to check first: it is a shallow back-pan box, so deep gear, large breakers with rear terminals, or anything needing wire bending space beyond 12 inches will not fit. The double door front gives you the full 72 inch width for panel layout.

It stands on its own. The 4XSS6FD3PT ships as a ground mount configuration with ground mount legs, so it sets on a pad or floor rather than hanging off a wall or unistrut. At 593.8 lb you will want rigging to set it, and anchoring the legs to the pad is part of the install.

Both doors close on a stainless handle with 3-point latching, which pulls the door tight at top, bottom, and the handle point for even gasket compression. The handle includes a key lock and a padlock provision, so you can secure it with the key or add your own padlock for site lockout.

The 4XSS6FD3PT is built to UL 50, the standard covering enclosures for electrical equipment, and it is made in the US. Those are the two lines most submittal packages ask for alongside the NEMA 4X rating.

Two doors. It is a large double door style across the 72 inch width, which means you can open one leaf for routine work and both for full-width access to the back pan, and each leaf swings in a narrower arc than a single 72 inch door would need. Useful where the pad sits close to a walkway or another piece of gear.

Order it as 747212-4XSS6FD3PT. The leading 747212 encodes the 74 x 72 x 12 inch envelope, and 4XSS6FD3PT identifies the NEMA 4X 316 stainless double door body with 3-point latching. There is one configuration, so no finish or size suffix to select.

What is defined here is the enclosure itself: 316 stainless body, hinged double doors, poured in-place gasket, stainless 3-point latch handle with key and padlock provision, and ground mount legs. Interior panels, DIN rail, terminal kits, thermal management, and pad anchors are separate items and should be ordered alongside. Keep the 12 inch depth in mind when you size any back-pan mounted gear.

The exterior is a #4 brushed stainless finish, the standard directional satin grain used across stainless electrical enclosures. If the rest of your yard is B-Line 316 stainless in #4, this will read the same. Note the catalog lists the product color as grey, which is how brushed stainless registers, not a painted coating.
