A vertical outside bend turns the tray run downward over an obstruction or at a drop, with the tray bending away from the cable side so the cables ride the outside of the curve. The B-Line 6A-12-90VO12 makes that turn at 90 degrees on a 12 inch radius, which is what keeps cable bend radius under control through the transition. If your run needs to turn up rather than down over the tray's inside face, that is an inside bend, not this fitting.

The 6A-12-90VO12 is aluminum. Mixing it into a galvanized or stainless steel run is a dissimilar metals problem at the splice and it will not match the rail section of the steel Series trays. Stay in aluminum for the whole run, or order the steel fitting of the same width, depth, radius and angle.

Allow for the fitting's 15 inch length along the run. The 12 inch radius is measured to the tray, so the turn is not a sharp corner, and you need that clearance above or below the run depending on which way the drop goes. Lay it out before you cut the straight sections either side.

It is CSA certified, which is the listing an inspector on a Canadian project will look for on tray fittings.

7.2 pounds. That is a one-man lift on a ladder, but the support spacing either side of the fitting still has to follow the tray run design, since a bend concentrates cable load at the turn.
