B-LINE AW6060SP – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the B-Line AW6060SP mounting panel fit a 60 x 60 inch enclosure?
That is exactly what the AW6060SP is sized for. It is a large flanged panel intended for 60" x 60" enclosures, and the panel itself measures 55.87 x 55.875 inches, so it sits inside the box on the mounting studs rather than matching the enclosure's outside dimension. If your enclosure is a different size, this panel is not the one.
2) What material is the AW6060SP back panel made of, and can it go in a washdown or corrosive area?
The AW6060SP is a stainless steel panel. Stainless is what you specify when the enclosure is in a food plant, washdown bay, or chemical-exposed area where a painted steel panel would rust at drilled and tapped holes. For a dry indoor control room, painted steel is the usual cheaper choice.
3) What are the actual panel dimensions on the AW6060SP so I can lay out my components?
The panel measures 55.87 x 55.875 in, with a length/depth figure of 56.87 in that accounts for the flange. Lay your DIN rail and wireway out against the roughly 55-7/8 inch square face, and keep component footprints inside that before you drill and tap.
4) Is this a flanged panel or a flat back panel, and does that matter?
It is a large flanged panel. The formed flange adds rigidity across a span this wide and changes how it mounts compared with a flat sheet, so if your enclosure is set up for flat panels on collar studs, confirm the flanged profile clears your internal hardware before ordering.
5) Is the AW6060SP NEMA rated?
NEMA is the standard cited for the AW6060SP, described as a large NEMA flanged panel. The enclosure itself carries the environmental type rating; the panel is the interior mounting surface specified to suit it.
6) What part number do I order for the Eaton B-Line 60 x 60 stainless steel subpanel?
Order by manufacturer part number AW6060SP, Eaton B-Line series. That is the stainless, large flanged panel for 60" x 60" enclosures. Specifying by the AW number avoids mixing it up with the painted steel equivalents in the same series.
