B-LINE AW6036GP – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What size enclosure does the Eaton B-Line AW6036GP back panel fit?
The AW6036GP panel is sized for 60 x 36 inch enclosures. The panel itself measures 56.87 inches in one direction and 32.875 inches in the other, which is the usual undersize that lets it drop inside the box and land on the mounting studs rather than butting the enclosure walls.
2) Is the AW6036GP suitable for an outdoor or washdown enclosure?
No. This is a NEMA 1 rated panel, which is indoor general purpose only, meant for a dry environment with no protection against falling water, dust, or washdown. For an outdoor or wet location you need a panel matched to a NEMA 3R, 4 or 4X enclosure instead.
3) Is this B-Line panel galvanized or painted white?
Both, in effect. The substrate is galvanized steel and it carries a white powder coated finish, which is the standard back panel treatment so component labels and wire markings read clearly against the panel.
4) What is the AW6036GP actually for inside an electrical enclosure?
It is the interior mounting panel, the flat steel sheet that sits on the back of the enclosure and gives you a surface to drill and tap for DIN rail, wireway, terminal blocks, contactors, and drives. The enclosure ships as a box; the panel is what your components bolt to.
5) What part number should I order for a 60 x 36 B-Line NEMA 1 back panel?
Order Eaton B-Line AW6036GP. That is the white powder coated galvanized steel panel dimensioned for 60 x 36 inch NEMA 1 enclosures.
6) Does the AW6036GP come with mounting hardware or standoffs?
The AW6036GP is the panel itself. Panel mounting hardware, collar studs, and any DIN rail or wireway you plan to lay out on it are separate line items, so add them to the order if the enclosure did not already ship with its stud kit.
