B52 at .81 inches deep is the shallow profile, used where the run is light and headroom is tight, typically single runs of small conduit, cable tray supports, and equipment mounting flat to wall or deck. For longer unsupported spans or heavy multi-conduit racks, the full-depth 1-5/8 by 1-5/8 channel or a back-to-back welded section carries more load. The 12 gauge steel here is the heavier wall thickness within the shallow family.

Yes. The B52 opening is the standard 1-5/8 inch nominal strut width (1.62 inches), so conventional channel nuts, conduit clamps, beam clamps and fittings sized for 1-5/8 inch strut engage the lips. The only thing the shallow .81 inch depth restricts is deep-body fittings that need the full channel cavity.

K06 is a punched hole pattern running the length of the channel, as opposed to a solid back. That matters on a job where you are through-bolting the strut to structure or hanging threaded rod off it without drilling in the field. If your drawing calls for solid-back channel, the K06 punch is the wrong specification and you want the unpunched B52 instead.

It is a coated interior-duty finish, not a hot dip galvanized or stainless product, so for exterior runs, wash-down areas, or corrosive environments you should be specifying a galvanized or stainless B52 instead of the green painted version.
