The B52 channel measures 1.62 inches wide by .81 inches high, so it is the half-height version of the standard 1-5/8 inch strut profile. The open face is the same 1-5/8 inch nominal width, which is what strut nuts, clamps and fittings key into, so 1-5/8 inch series fittings engage the channel lips normally. The shallower .81 inch depth is the difference: it takes up less space above a ceiling or along a wall than full 1-5/8 by 1-5/8 channel.

B52 at .81 inches deep is the shallow profile, used for lighter loads and tight spaces: single conduit runs, small pipe clamps, wall-mounted supports and back-of-panel work where a full depth channel would stick out too far. For trapeze hangers carrying multiple heavy conduits or long unsupported spans, the full 1-5/8 by 1-5/8 inch channel carries more load and is what most engineers specify. Both use the same fitting family, so you can mix profiles on the same job.

K06 is B-Line's back-slotted pattern designation for this channel, giving you mounting holes along the solid back so you can through-bolt or lag the channel to a wall, deck or structural steel without drilling it in the field. If you want a plain unpunched back instead, you need a solid-back channel designation rather than a K-pattern one.

DURA GREEN is a coated finish on 12 gauge steel, intended for corrosion resistance in service environments rather than bare indoor dry use. For fully exposed exterior runs, coastal sites or wash-down areas, most specs call for hot dip galvanized or stainless strut instead. Match whatever the drawing calls out, because cut ends of any coated channel still need field touch-up.

This one is 12 gauge steel, the heavier of the two common strut thicknesses. B-Line also builds the same profiles in 14 gauge, which is thinner and lighter. If a drawing calls out 12 gauge and you substitute 14, you lose load capacity, so match the gauge on the spec rather than the profile alone.

B52KO6-120GRN is sold as one configuration: 120 inch length, DURA GREEN finish, K06 hole pattern, 12 gauge steel. Different lengths, plain or galvanized finishes and other hole patterns are separate B-Line part numbers, so order by the specific designation rather than expecting options on this one.
