The B141AL is a three hole splice plate for joining strut channel end to end or lapping two runs together. It bolts through three holes in a line along its 5.37 inch length, carrying the load across the joint so a strut run can be extended without a full connection fitting. It ships pre assembled.

Its 1.62 inch width matches the 1-5/8 inch face of standard strut channel, so the plate sits flat across the back or the face of a 1-5/8 inch run without overhang. Plate thickness is 1/4 inch and overall height is .23 inch.

Aluminum, both material and finish, with no plating or coating over it. That is the reason to pick this one over a plated steel plate: in damp, washdown, or coastal exposure aluminum will not rust the way an electro-galvanized steel fitting does. Where you need maximum load at the joint, a steel splice plate of the same pattern is the stronger choice.

The B141AL is supplied pre assembled as a plate. Plan on ordering strut channel nuts and hex bolts to suit your channel and the three hole pattern separately, sized to the 1/4 inch plate thickness so the bolt grip is right.

A three hole plate like the B141AL, at 5.37 inches long, gives you three bolts across the joint, which is the common choice for extending a run where load at the splice is moderate. Step up to a longer four or six hole plate when the joint is carrying more, or when you need more bolts either side of the seam to keep the run from hinging.
