1) Can the B-Line 16126 SCGV junction box be used outdoors or in a washdown area?
No. The 16126 SCGV is a NEMA Type 1 enclosure, which is indoor use only and offers no protection against rain, dust, or hosedown. For a wet or outdoor location you need a Type 3R or Type 4 enclosure instead. The galvanized steel shell resists corrosion in damp mechanical rooms, but the screw cover is not gasketed.
2) What are the actual box dimensions of the B-Line 16126 SCGV pull box?
It measures 16 inches high, 12 inches wide and 6 inches deep. That 6 inch depth is what usually decides the job, since it sets your available bending space and how far the box projects off the wall once surface mounted.
