B-LINE 3372 G NK – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Does the 3372 G NK wireway come with knockouts already punched?
No. The NK in the model designation means no knockouts, so the trough ships blank and you punch or drill your own entries wherever the run needs them. If you want factory knockouts on standard spacing, you need the knockout version of the same series instead, not this one.
2) Is this B-Line wireway rated for outdoor or wet locations?
No. The 3372 G NK is a NEMA 1 screw cover wireway, which is general purpose indoor only, dry locations. For an outdoor run, a washdown area, or anywhere water can hit the trough, you need a NEMA 3R or NEMA 4 rated wireway instead.
3) How does the cover come off on the 3372 G NK, screw cover or hinged?
Screw cover. The full-length cover is secured with plated screws along the trough, so you back the screws out to open the run for pulling or splicing. That's more hardware to handle than a hinged cover, but it gives you continuous access to the whole 72 inch length once it's off.
4) How does this wireway mount to a wall or strut?
Through holes in the trough body. There are no integral clips or brackets in the box, so you supply the fasteners, anchors, or strut hardware suited to your surface and land the trough on the existing hole pattern.
5) Is the Eaton B-Line 3372 G NK wireway certified for use on a permitted job?
It's CSA Certified, which is what an inspector on a Canadian job will look for and what most institutional and MRO specs accept for a general purpose steel wireway. Order it by the manufacturer part number 3372 G NK.
6) Do I need anything else to complete a wireway run with the 3372 G NK?
The 72 inch trough section with its screw-down cover is what you get. Connectors, elbows, tees, end plates, hangers, and the mounting fasteners for your wall or strut are all separate, and since this version has no knockouts you'll also need to punch your own conduit entries and supply the connectors for them.
7) What gauge steel is the 3372 G NK wireway, and will it match the gray on my existing panels?
16 gauge steel, finished in ANSI 61 gray, which is the standard gray used on most commercial panelboards and control enclosures, so a run will read consistent with existing gear in a mechanical or electrical room.
