B-LINE 44120-12FW – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the B-Line 44120-12FW wireway rated for washdown or oily environments?
It's a NEMA 12 wireway, built with a seamless poured in-place gasket so the hinged cover seals against falling dirt, dust, dripping non-corrosive liquids and oil. NEMA 12 is not a washdown rating, so if hoses or direct spray hit the trough you want a NEMA 4 or 4X type instead. For dust-heavy plants, drip-prone ceilings, and machine areas it's the right class.
2) What gauge steel is the 12FW wireway and what's the finish?
14 gauge steel, painted ANSI 61 gray. That's the standard gray used across industrial control panels and enclosures, so a run will match existing panelboards and gutters in most plants without repainting.
3) Is this B-Line wireway approved for use in Canada?
The 44120-12FW carries CSA C22.2 certification, so it's acceptable for Canadian installations as well as US work.
4) Which part number do I order for a 4x4 by 10 foot NEMA 12 hinged wireway from Eaton B-Line?
Eaton B-Line part 44120-12FW. The number reads out as the size and length: 4 by 4 inches, 120 inches long, 12FW for the NEMA 12 feed-through wireway series with the hinged cover.
