It's a NEMA 12 wireway, which is the dust-tight and drip-tight rating for indoor industrial areas with falling dirt, circulating dust and dripping non-corrosive liquids. The gasket is a seamless poured in-place type and the hinged cover clamps down with screw clamps, which is what holds that seal. NEMA 12 is not a washdown or outdoor rating, so for hosedown, rain or direct wet locations you need a NEMA 3R or 4 raceway instead.

14 gauge steel, finished in ANSI 61 gray, with a section weight of 15.235 lb. That weight matters for hanger spacing and for anyone lifting sections overhead on a ladder.

It's set up for suspension on wireway hangers rather than direct wall bolting, so plan on hanger hardware and rod or strut at your support intervals. The hangers are a separate order item; the 15.235 lb section weight plus conductor fill is what you size the support to.

The 6624-12FW carries CSA C22.2 certification, so it's acceptable for Canadian installations as well as US industrial work.

The wireway is painted ANSI 61 gray, the standard light gray used on most industrial panelboards, control enclosures and switchgear, so a run of it above a lineup will read as the same color family. For a facility standardizing across many rooms, keeping every trough in the 12FW line keeps both finish and cover style consistent.
