1) Is the B-Line 6636 GGV NK wireway rated for outdoor or wet locations?
No. It is a NEMA 1 enclosure, which is indoor, dry location only. The screw cover is not gasketed. For rooftop, exterior wall, or washdown runs you need a NEMA 3R or 4 gasketed wireway instead.
2) Does the 6636 GGV NK wireway come with knockouts for conduit?
No knockouts. The NK in the model designation means the body ships blank, so every conduit entry is field punched or hole sawed where you want it. In 16 gauge galvanized steel a standard knockout punch handles it cleanly. If you want factory knockouts on a set pattern, order the knockout version of the same size rather than this one.
3) How does this B-Line wireway mount to a wall or strut?
Through holes in the back of the trough. You bolt or screw directly through the housing into the wall, backboard, or strut channel. No separate mounting brackets or hangers are part of the trough, so pick up your own hardware and any strut or hanger rod for the run.
4) Is the cover on the 6636 GGV NK screw cover or hinged?
Screw cover, held with plated screws. That means you back out the screws to open a section, which is fine for a run you pull once, less convenient for a panel you open regularly. If the gutter sits over equipment you service often, a hinged cover wireway is the easier choice.
5) Is the 6636 GGV NK wireway third party certified for a spec job?
It is CSA Certified, and the enclosure type is NEMA 1. That is what to put on the submittal for indoor gutter in a Canadian or dual listed project.
