1) Is the Eaton B-Line 8848 G NK wireway rated for outdoor or wet locations?
No. The 8848 G NK is a NEMA 1 wireway, which is indoor general purpose only, with no gasketing against water or dust. Put it in dry indoor runs (electrical rooms, mechanical spaces, interior plant walls). For a washdown or exterior run you need a NEMA 3R or 4 raintight/oiltight trough instead.
2) What size is the 8848 G NK trough and how much wire will it carry?
It is an 8 x 8 inch cross section, 48 inches long. That 64 square inch interior is the number you size the fill from: NEC limits conductors in a wireway to 20 percent of the cross sectional area, so roughly 12.8 square inches of conductor is your working ceiling on this size.

No knockouts. The body is thru holes for mounting only, so every conduit entry gets field punched where you want it. That is the point of the NK version, you are not working around factory holes you do not need. If you want pre-punched entries, order a knockout style trough instead.

The 8848 G NK is a straight 48 inch length of 8 x 8, so a longer run is multiple sections coupled end to end, and any change of direction needs a matching 8 x 8 elbow, tee, or cross plus connectors and end plates. Order the fittings in the same 8 x 8 size and the same NEMA 1 screw cover family so the flanges and covers line up.
5) Is the cover on this 8 x 8 wireway hinged or screw-on?
Screw cover. The full length cover is secured with plated screws, so you back the screws out to open the run. It gives you a solid closure for a permanent feeder or gutter run, but if you are pulling and repulling circuits frequently a hinged cover trough will save you time on every access.
6) What gauge steel is the B-Line 8848 wireway, and will the finish match my existing panels?
