1) Will an Eaton CHFN GFCI breaker fit my existing panel, or do I need a CH load center?
The CHFN GFCI breaker is a CH-type breaker, so it goes into Eaton CH load centers and panelboards only. It is not interchangeable with Eaton BR-type panels, and it will not fit a Square D, Siemens, or GE panel. Check the label inside your panel door: if it does not call for CH breakers, this is the wrong part. CH and BR panels look similar from the outside, which is where most wrong orders come from.

5) Does a 2-pole CHFN GFCI breaker work on a 240V circuit with no neutral, like a spa or a water heater?

A GFCI receptacle is cheaper and easier when one device can protect the outlets downstream of it. The CHFN breaker is the better choice when the receptacle location is hard to reach for monthly testing, when the load has no receptacle at all (a spa disconnect, a well pump, a dishwasher), when you need the whole branch circuit protected from the first inch of wire, or when the circuit is 240V, where receptacle-style GFCIs are not an option. Note that the breaker's test button is at the panel, so testing means a trip to the load center.
7) Is the Eaton CHFN a GFCI only, or does it also have AFCI arc-fault protection?
