1) Is the Eaton M22 LED light unit a complete indicator light, or do I need more parts?
It is the light unit only, one module in Eaton's M22 platform. To get a working indicator on the panel you also need the lens/button front and the mounting adapter or holder that clamps into the cutout. The M22 system is built that way on purpose: the same light unit sits behind different lenses and stacks with contact blocks on illuminated pushbuttons. If you are replacing a burned-out indicator and the lens and holder are intact, the light unit alone is the part you need.
2) Can I use this Eaton M22 LED indicator in an outdoor or washdown enclosure?
Yes. The M22 LED light unit carries an IP66, NEMA 4X, 13 rating, which covers dust, powerful water jets, corrosion and oil. That makes it usable in outdoor control enclosures, washdown areas and machine tool panels where coolant is present. The rating holds only when the device is properly mounted in the enclosure with its gasket and the enclosure itself carries a matching rating.
