1) What height options does the Eaton Pow-R-Xpress EZ Trim 20 inch wide surface mount trim come in?
Six heights on the 20 inch wide EZ Trim surface trim: 36, 42, 48, 60, 72 and 90 inches (914.4, 1066.8, 1219.2, 1524.0 and 1828.8 mm, and 2286.0 mm at 90 inches). Width stays 20 inches across all of them. Order by the height that matches the panelboard interior you are covering: EZT2036S, EZT2042S, EZT2048S, EZT2060S, EZT2072S, EZT2090S.
2) Is the Eaton EZT2060S a panelboard, or just the cover?
It is the trim only, not a panelboard. The Product Details read NEMA 1 TRIM: this is the front cover and door assembly that finishes a Pow-R-Xpress panelboard interior in a 20 inch wide by 60 inch high surface mount opening. The interior, the box and the breakers are separate line items. Buyers replacing a damaged or mis-sized front on an existing panel order just this part.
3) Can I use a NEMA 1 EZ Trim enclosure outdoors or in a wash-down area?
No. NEMA 1 is an indoor-only rating, good for guarding against incidental contact with live parts and falling dirt. It offers no protection against rain, hose-down, or wind-driven dust. For a loading dock, a rooftop, a parking garage exposed to weather, or a kitchen wash-down wall, you need a NEMA 3R or NEMA 4/4X enclosure instead. Inside a mechanical room, an electrical closet, a retail back-of-house, or a corridor riser, NEMA 1 is the normal choice.
4) Do I need to cut into the wall to install the Eaton EZ Trim surface mount trim?
No wall opening is needed. The S suffix on EZT2060S is the surface mount version, so the trim lands flat against the finished wall surface over the panel box. Flush mount trim is the version you use when the panelboard is recessed into the wall cavity and the drywall closes up to it. Getting this wrong is the most common ordering error on panel trim: a surface trim on a recessed box leaves a gap, and a flush trim on a surface box has no wall to lap onto.
5) I have a 20 inch wide Pow-R-Xpress panel that needs a taller front. Which EZ Trim do I order?
Measure the box height and match it exactly. On the 20 inch wide surface line the steps are 36, 48, 60, 72 and 90 inches, plus a 42 inch. Trim does not stretch, so a 60 inch front will not cover a 72 inch box, and there is no filler in between. If your interior sits in a 72 inch high box, EZT2072S is the part; for the tallest riser panels, EZT2090S covers 90 inches.
6) Does the Eaton EZ Trim panel cover lock, and are the doors keyed alike?
The EZ Trim door has keyed access, which is what most jurisdictions and property managers want on a panel in a tenant corridor or a common area. If you are trimming several panels in the same building and want one key to open all of them, specify that at order time rather than assuming it, because keying is set by the trim option, not by the box.
7) Should I order the unvented or a vented panel trim?
The EZ Trim covered here is unvented, a solid front with no louvers, which keeps dust and airborne debris out of the panel. That is what you want in a clean indoor space, a corridor, or a finished tenant area. Vented trim exists for interiors that need convective airflow to shed heat, typically heavily loaded distribution in a warm room. If your engineer's drawing calls for a ventilated front, the unvented version is not a substitute.
