1) Does the Emtek 1122 multi point trim include the multi point lock mechanism itself?
No. The Emtek 1122 is trim only: you get the plates and handles for both sides of the door. The multi point mortise lock box has to be ordered separately, so if your patio door does not already have a working multi point gearbox in it, this set alone will not lock the door.
2) Will the Emtek 1122 Arched trim fit my Andersen or Marvin swinging patio door?
The 1122 is built for swinging patio doors using multi point hardware from Atrium, G-U, KML by Andersen, Andersen, Marvin Integrity, Paddock Lockmaster and Superior. It is set up as Door Configuration #1, with the cylinder position below the handle, so match your existing gearbox layout to that configuration before ordering.
3) What is the center-to-center spacing on the Emtek 1122 trim plate?
3-5/8 inches from handle center to cylinder center, with the cylinder sitting below the handle. That spacing has to match the gearbox already in your door, since the plate holes are fixed. The plates themselves are 2 by 10 inches in the Arched style.
4) Is the Emtek 1122 keyed, and can I lock the door with it?
It is a non-keyed passage set. The levers operate the latch only, with no cylinder and no locking function from the trim. If you need to key the opening, you want a keyed version of the multi point trim instead.
5) Do I have to specify handing when ordering the Emtek 1122?
Yes, handing is a required choice, right hand or left hand, and so is the lever style. Determine the door's hand before ordering, because the plate and lever assembly is built for one hand.
