No. The Emtek 1145 is trim only: plates and handles. The multi point mortise lock box is not included, and because this is the dummy pair it has no working latch or bolt function at all. You would order the lock case separately if the door needs one.
2) What does a dummy multi point trim set actually do on a patio door?
It gives you a matching pull on a door leaf that does not operate, typically the inactive leaf of a French or swinging patio pair. Handles are fixed, nothing latches, and there is no keying (the 1145 is a non-keyed dummy). Use it so the inactive side looks identical to the active leaf carrying the real multi point lock.
3) Will the Emtek 1145 trim fit a 1-3/4 inch door?
Yes. The 1145 covers doors from 1-3/8 inch to 1-3/4 inch thick, which spans the standard commercial and residential 1-3/4 inch leaf and thinner older doors. It is surface mount, so no door prep is required to install the plates.
4) Do I have to specify handing when ordering the Emtek 1145?
Yes, handing is required. You choose Right Hand (RH) or Left Hand (LH), along with a lever style: Medici (MD), Napoli (NA), Octagon (OCL) or Padua (PD). Door thickness can also be entered as a note on the order.
