1) Does the Emtek 1354 multi point trim include the lock body, or is it handles only?
Trim only. The Emtek 1354 set includes the plates and handles, and the multi point mortise lock box is not included. You need to source the multi point lock case separately (or reuse the one already in the door), then mount this trim to it.
2) What does Door Configuration #3 mean on an Emtek multi point trim, and is the 1354 the right one for my door?
Configuration #3 on the 1354 is the non-keyed setup with a fixed (dummy) handle outside and an operating lever inside, which is what goes on the semi-active leaf of a swinging patio door pair. If the door you are working on is the active leaf that gets keyed entry from outside, this is the wrong trim.
3) Will the Emtek 1354 trim line up with my existing multi point lock's handle and cylinder spacing?
The 1354 plates are drilled for 4-1/8 inch center-to-center between the handle spindle and the cylinder hole, with the cylinder position above the handle and sized for an American style cylinder. Measure your existing lock case: if its spacing is not 4-1/8 inches, or the cylinder sits below the handle, this trim will not register on the prep.
4) Does the Emtek 1354 fit Andersen patio doors?
Andersen is the referenced door manufacturer for this trim. It is built as swinging patio door hardware, so it suits a hinged French or patio door running a multi point lock, not a sliding panel.
5) What do I have to specify when ordering the Emtek 1354 trim?
Three choices are required or wanted at order time. Handing, right hand or left hand. Lever style, from ten Sandcast Bronze levers: Aurora, Bryce, Cimarron, Cody, Durango, Lariat, Mariposa, Montrose, Teton and Yuma. And finish, in Flat Black Bronze (FB), Medium Bronze (MB) or Tumbled White Bronze (TWB). There is also a field to note your door thickness.
6) How big are the escutcheon plates on the Emtek 1354, and will they fit a narrow French door stile?
