Trim only. The 1381 set gives you the interior and exterior plates, the handles, and the keyed cylinder. The multi point mortise lock box that runs the rods and latches inside the door is not included, so if you're replacing a whole lock you still need the lock body from the door manufacturer. If the existing multi point lock in the door is fine and you only want to change the look or the finish, this is the part you order.

Configuration #3 refers to the hole pattern in the door: on the 1381 the key cylinder sits ABOVE the handle, and the spacing from the cylinder hub to the handle spindle is 4-1/8 inches center to center. Measure your existing door from the middle of the key cylinder to the middle of the handle spindle. If the cylinder is above the handle at 4-1/8 inches, this trim lines up. If the cylinder is below the handle, or the spacing is different, it's a different Emtek configuration and this one won't land on the existing holes.
3) Can I key the Emtek 1381 patio door trim to match my existing house keys?
Yes, within the two keyways offered. The 1381 uses an American cylinder and ships in either a Schlage keyway (the standard choice) or a Weiser WR5 keyway, so pick the one that matches the rest of the doors. From there you choose keyed different or keyed alike, and there's a keying-to-code field where you enter your existing key code so the cylinder is cut to your current key. It's a single cylinder function, meaning key outside and thumb-operated inside.
4) Do I have to specify handing when ordering Emtek Concord multi point trim?
