Configuration #7 places the cylinder above the handle with 6 inch center-to-center spacing between the cylinder hole and the handle hub, and the plates measure 2 x 10 inches. Match those against the holes already bored in the door slab: if your door was prepped for a different Emtek configuration, the cylinder location will not line up. The 1763 is built for doors prepped by Trillenium (formerly W&F Manufacturing).
3) Is the Emtek 1763 keyed, or do I need a separate cylinder and key?
The 1763 is the non-keyed version: thumbturn on the interior, no key cylinder supplied on the exterior. The prep is set up for an American style cylinder positioned above the handle, so if you need this opening to lock by key you want the keyed variant of the trim rather than adding a cylinder to this one. For a patio door that is secured from inside, or a secondary door in a pair, the thumbturn is the usual call.
4) Do I have to specify handing when ordering Emtek 1763 multi point trim?
