1) Will the Emtek 4141 STRETTO narrow trim lockset fit a narrow stile door or a door with a narrow rail?
That's exactly what the 4141 is built for. The STRETTO arched trim measures 2 x 10 inches and uses a narrow 1-1/4 inch door prep with 3-3/8 inch center-to-center hole spacing, so it works where a standard round rosette plus 2-1/8 inch cross bore would blow out a narrow stile. Note the cross bore itself is still 2-1/8 inches for the tubular latch, so the prep is narrow in width, not in the bore.
2) Does the Emtek 4141 need to be ordered left hand or right hand?
Handing is required, and you choose right hand or left hand on the order. Emtek calls for handing on leversets in particular, and since the 4141 trim can be ordered with either a lever or a knob, the handing selection is part of every order. Stand outside the door: if the hinges are on your right, it's a right hand door.
3) Will the Emtek 4141 latch line up with my existing strike?
Backset is adjustable, 2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inch, and you specify which on the order, so it lands on either of the two standard residential bores. The set ships complete with its own latch and strike plate, and the latch faceplate is available round corner or square corner to match the existing mortise in the door edge. If your current strike is already set for one of those two backsets, the included strike drops into the same pocket.
4) Is the Emtek 4141 lockable, or does it just latch?
Passage only. The 4141 is a non-keyed, non-locking function, so both sides always turn freely and it simply holds the door closed. Use it on hallways, closets, and pantries. For a bathroom or bedroom you want a privacy set with a push-button or turn instead, and for an entry you need a keyed set.
