1) Will the Emtek 4442 STRETTO narrow trim lockset fit a narrow stile door?
That is what it's built for. The 4442 uses a narrow 1-1/4 inch bore prep with 3-3/8 inch center-to-center hole spacing, and the arched plate measures 2 x 10 inches. So you only need about 2 inches of flat stile face, versus the 2-1/8 inch bore a standard bored lockset wants. If the door is already drilled for a standard 2-1/8 inch cross bore, this will not cover or fit it correctly.
2) Do I need to specify handing on the Emtek 4442 STRETTO lockset?
Handing is required on this one, right hand or left hand, and it's a required selection at order time. That's because it can be built with a lever, and levers have to point the correct way. Stand outside the door: if the hinges are on your right, it's right hand.
3) What backset does the Emtek 4442 come with, and can it hit a 2-3/4 inch bore?
Both. The latch is adjustable for 2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inch backset and you select which you want when ordering. Standard is 2-3/8; call out 2-3/4 if your existing cross bore is set back further, which is common on exterior doors with wider stiles.
4) Does the Emtek 4442 include a latch and strike, or do I buy those separately?
It ships as a complete set: latch and strike plate included, with a 28 degree latch supplied. Nothing extra to order to make the door latch. What you do have to choose is the interior knob or lever style, since the 4442 covers the keyed exterior trim and the inside handle is a separate selection.
5) Is the Emtek 4442 a single cylinder or double cylinder entry lock?
Single cylinder. Key on the outside, thumbturn or knob release inside, which is the standard entry setup. There's no keyed cylinder on the interior side, so it won't satisfy a situation where code or an insurer requires key operation from both sides of a glazed door.
6) Can I key several Emtek 4442 locksets alike across a house?
Yes, keyed alike is one of the two keying options, the other being keyed different. There's also an optional key code field at order time, so if you're adding to doors that already run an Emtek key code you can call that code out and the new locks match the keys you're carrying.

For a leased commercial entrance or a high-traffic multi-family corridor door you want a Grade 1 or Grade 2 cylindrical or mortise lock instead.
