Yes. The 453646 comes with a Schlage C keyway as standard, so it keys into an existing Schlage C system. 3) I key my property on Weiser. Can I get this Emtek handleset in a Weiser keyway?
A Weiser WR5 cylinder is available in place of the standard Schlage C, and there is no upcharge for the substitution. It can be keyed into an existing Weiser system, which is what makes this workable for a landlord or property manager already standardized on Weiser across a building. On the order it is a keyway selection; in Emtek's own coding the Weiser version carries a W in front of the product code.
4) What is the center-to-center measurement on the Emtek 453646 handleset?
5-1/2 inches center to center. That is the spacing between the two mounting bores on the door, and it is the number that decides whether the 453646 lands on an existing prep or leaves screw holes showing. If you are replacing another full length handleset, measure the existing hole centers first, because a mismatch means patching the door face.
5) Is the Emtek 453646 a mortise lock or a tubular lock?
Tubular. The 453646 uses a bored tubular latch through a 2-1/8 inch cross bore, not a mortise pocket routed into the door edge. It is a custom function that Emtek builds to order rather than pulling from a standard configuration, so it is a specify-at-order item, not a stock swap.
7) What finishes does the Emtek 453646 Rustic Modern Rectangular handleset come in?
Three sandcast bronze finishes: Flat Black Bronze (453646FB), Medium Bronze (453646MB), and Tumbled White Bronze (453646TWB).
