Door thickness range is 1-3/8 to 2 inches, and 1-3/4 inch is the standard build, so a typical commercial-weight or exterior residential door needs no special note. If your door is thicker than 1-3/4, state the thickness on the order.
2) What does grip by grip mean on an Emtek entrance handleset?
Grip by grip means you get a thumb-latch style grip handle on the outside and a matching grip on the interior instead of a knob or lever trim. On the 454525 it is built as a double cylinder entry set, so it is keyed from both sides, which is what people use on a door with glass beside it or in it where a thumbturn could be reached. Emtek builds this configuration to order.
3) Can the Emtek 454525 be keyed into my existing Schlage or Weiser keys?
Standard cylinders are Schlage C keyway, so it keys into an existing Schlage C system. Weiser WR5 is available as a no-upcharge substitution (specified by adding a W to the front of the product code) if the rest of your doors run Weiser. Keyed alike or keyed different is selected at order, and you can supply a key code to have it cut to an existing system.
