1) Will the Emtek Logan handleset fit my existing door prep?
It drops into a standard residential bore pattern: 2-1/8 inch cross bore, with the latch prepped for either a 2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inch backset (you pick the backset when ordering, and the standard latch shipped is 2-3/8). The plate is 5-1/2 inch center-to-center between the grip and the lower cylinder, so the existing holes in the door need to match that spacing. Door thickness range is 1-3/8 to 2 inches. If your door is thicker than standard, note it on the order so the right spindles and screws come with it.
2) Can I key the Emtek Logan handleset into the keys I already have?
Standard cylinder is a Schlage C keyway, so it will key into an existing Schlage C system. If your house or building runs on Weiser, order the Weiser WR5 keyway option instead (the product code gets a W in front) and there is no upcharge for the substitution. Keying is free either way: choose keyed different or keyed alike, and if you have a bitting code from an existing system you can supply it and the cylinders get cut to it.
3) Which backset should I order for the Logan handleset, 2-3/8 or 2-3/4?
Measure from the edge of the door to the center of the existing bore hole. Standard on this handleset is 2-3/8 inches, which is the common residential dimension; 2-3/4 inches is the other option and shows up more on doors with wide stiles or on prep done to a commercial pattern. Backset is a required selection at order time, so get the measurement before you place it. Order the wrong one and the latch tailpiece will not reach the bore.
4) Is the Emtek Logan handleset solid bronze or plated?
Solid sandcast bronze. It is cast, not stamped or plated over zinc, which is why the surface has the slight texture and variation you see on the Sandcast Bronze collection.
