Grip by grip in the Greeley is a dummy function, so there is no latch, no bolt, and no key. Both sides are fixed grips that don't turn or retract anything. Use it on an inactive leaf of a double door, a French door where a flush bolt or multipoint does the securing, or a closet or pantry door that only needs a pull. If you need the door to actually latch or lock, you need a keyed entry or single-cylinder handleset instead.

No door prep. The Greeley grip by grip mounts to the face of the door, so there is no cross bore, no edge bore, and no latch mortise to cut. That is what makes it workable on a door you don't want to drill, like a raised panel entry or a slab where a bore would land badly. You do need through holes for the mounting posts on the 5-1/2 inch center-to-center grip spacing.

Yes. Door thickness range is 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches, and 1-3/4 is the standard build. That covers a standard commercial and exterior slab as well as a thinner 1-3/8 inch interior door. If your door is thicker than 1-3/4, say so on the order, there is a Door Thickness field for exactly that.

Center-to-center is 5-1/2 inches between the upper and lower grip mounting points. Measure your existing plate's fastener spacing against that number before you pull the old set. Because the Greeley is surface mounted with no bored prep of its own, it will sit over a clean door face, but it will not conceal a standard 2-1/8 inch cross bore left behind by a bored lockset.

Handing is not required. Both sides are grips, so there is nothing handed about it and one part works on an inswing or outswing door either way. That also means you can order matching units for a pair of doors without tracking which leaf is which.

For a rated or high-traffic commercial opening you want a Grade 1 or Grade 2 cylindrical or mortise lockset, not this. Where it does fit a multi-family or hospitality job is on the inactive leaf of a double entry or on decorative interior doors, with the actual security handled by the active leaf.
