The Emtek 5046 STRETTO set is non-keyed and does not latch, lock, or turn anything, so it's for a fixed inactive leaf, a closet door, or the inactive half of a French pair where the handle is there to pull on and to match the other openings. A pair means trim on both faces of the door. If you need the door to actually stay shut, you need a passage or privacy version instead.

That's what the STRETTO rectangular trim is built for. The plate measures 1-1/2 x 11 inches, so it sits on narrow stiles where a standard rosette or wide escutcheon would run off the edge of the wood. Hole spacing on the plate is 3-3/8 inches center to center and the door prep is the narrow 1-1/4 inch style.

Handing is required if you choose a lever. Levers are handed, so you need to specify right or left hand for the 5046 STRETTO set. Knobs are not handed, so a knob choice sidesteps that decision entirely. Get the hand wrong on a lever and it points the wrong way on the door.

Any Emtek brass knob or lever pairs with the 5046 STRETTO narrow trim. Lever choices include Aurora, Bryce, Cimarron, Cody, Durango, Lariat, Mariposa, Montrose, Teton and Yuma. The set is brass throughout, so the handle and plate keep the same material and finish.

Three: Flat Black (FB), Medium Bronze (MB), and Tumbled White Bronze (TWB). If you're matching a dummy leaf to an active door already wearing one of those Emtek brass finishes, pick the same code so the pair reads as one set across the opening.

It's a residential product. The 5046 STRETTO narrow trim set is a brass tubular lockset in Emtek's residential line, so it suits single-family homes, high-end multi-family unit doors, and interior French doors. For a commercial corridor or a fire-rated opening, specify a Grade 1 or Grade 2 commercial lockset instead.
