Emtek 6046 STRETTO Narrow Trim Lockset, 1-1/2" x 11-1/8" Tuscany Non-Keyed, Brass Tubular, Dummy Pair

That's what the 6046 is built for. The STRETTO narrow trim plate measures 1-1/2" x 11-1/8", and it uses narrow 1-1/4" door preps with 3-3/8" center-to-center hole spacing rather than the standard 2-1/8" bore of a normal bored lockset. If your door has narrow stiles, French door rails, or a slim glass surround, that 1-1/4" prep is the difference between fitting and not.

Dummy is a non-operating function. The 6046 dummy pair gives you a knob or lever on both faces that do not turn and do not retract anything, so the door has to be held closed some other way, typically a ball catch, roller catch, or a magnetic catch. If you want the door to stay shut with a working latch but no lock, you want a passage set in the same STRETTO Tuscany trim instead. Dummy is the right call on inactive French door leaves, closet doors on a catch, and pantry doors.

Four choices are required plus the finish. Finish is Flat Black (FB) or Medium Bronze (MB). Then the knob or lever, handing, backset, and door thickness range. Knob and lever options are Medici, Napoli, Octagon and Padua levers, and Octagon, Parma, Petal, Diamond, Georgetown, Old Town, Bristol, Hampton, Lowell and Windsor knobs, plus Ebony and Ice White porcelain knobs. Get all five settled on the order and the set arrives complete.

Sold as a complete set, latch and strike plate included. Nothing else to source for the trim itself. If the door is going on a catch rather than a latch, that catch is the one piece you add.

The 6046 is part of Emtek's Tuscany Bronze collection in the STRETTO narrow trim style, in Flat Black or Medium Bronze. If your existing hinges, hooks and other Tuscany bronze pieces were specified in the same finish code, they belong to the same family. Order all openings in one finish code rather than matching by eye, since black and bronze read close in some light.

Emtek lists the 6046 as residential. It's a brass tubular set, non-keyed, made for homes, French doors, and interior openings in residential work. For an apartment turnover or a single-family remodel it fits. For a commercial opening that has to meet a Grade 1 or Grade 2 spec on the drawings, specify a commercial cylindrical or mortise lock instead.

A dummy pair covers one door leaf, inside and outside. A pair of French doors where both leaves get non-operating trim needs two of them, ordered opposite hands. More commonly the inactive leaf takes the dummy and rides on flush bolts, while the active leaf takes a passage or privacy set in the matching STRETTO Tuscany trim.
