No. The 22U-139 is sized for 2 inch SERVICE WEIGHT cast iron. Extra heavy hubs have different dimensions, so the donut will not seat correctly. Confirm the pipe weight before ordering.
2) Can I use a compression donut instead of a shielded no-hub coupling to tie PVC into a cast iron hub?
They solve different joints. A donut like the 22U-139 is for a cast iron HUB, the bell end, where the rubber compresses between the hub wall and the PVC pipe. A shielded no-hub coupling is for joining two plain pipe ends with no hub. If you have an open 2 inch service weight hub and are running 1-1/2 inch Sch. 40 PVC into it, the donut is the fitting.
