GMS IC7 A US26D 7-PIN IC CORE

Yes. The GMS IC7 is a small format interchangeable core (the figure-eight style core pulled with a control key), so it seats in any housing or retrofit cylinder built for a small format IC, including SFIC mortise and rim housings, knob and lever cylinders, padlocks and cam locks prepped for it. The core itself carries no backset or door thickness implications; the housing you install it into controls the door prep.

The A is the keyway. GMS IC7 A is cut for the standard A keyway, which is the most common small format IC keyway in commercial masterkey systems. If your facility is already keyed in A, this core takes A-section keys and can be added to that system. If your building runs a different section (C, E, L, or a restricted keyway), an A core will not accept those keys and you need a core in the matching section instead.

Mechanically yes, in the same housings, but keying is the catch. The GMS IC7 is a 7-pin core, and 7-pin systems use a longer key blank than 6-pin. A 7-pin core will not accept a 6-pin key, so a 7-pin core is normally specified when you want a separate or expanded masterkeying level, or when matching an existing 7-pin system. If your campus is keyed 6-pin, order a 6-pin core to stay on one key.

US26D is satin chrome, the brushed silver finish that pairs with the satin chrome and brushed stainless trim common on commercial levers and exit device trim. Since only the core face shows through the housing, US26D reads as a close visual match next to US26D and 630 stainless hardware on the same door.

Two things sit outside the core. First, a housing: the core alone has no cylinder body, so the lock, rim, mortise or padlock already in the door must be SFIC prepped. Second, a control key for that keyway and system to pull the old core and seat the new one. Operating keys for the new core are a separate order from the core.

It suits that job well. Because it is an interchangeable core, maintenance pulls and replaces it with a control key in seconds, with no lock disassembly and no door off the hinges, so turning over a unit or handling a lost key is a core swap rather than a lock change. Standardizing on one keyway (A) and one pin count (7) across the property keeps spare cores interchangeable between doors.
