1) Can Cryo-Tek -100/AL antifreeze be used in an aluminum heat exchanger boiler?
Yes, that is exactly what it is formulated for. Oatey Hercules Cryo-Tek -100/AL uses a special formula for aluminum heat exchange boilers, and its stated material compatibility is aluminum. Standard glycol antifreezes without an aluminum-specific inhibitor package are the ones to avoid in those boilers.
2) Is Oatey Cryo-Tek -100/AL propylene glycol or ethylene glycol?
It is a propylene glycol blend, made from virgin (not recycled) propylene glycol with Oatey's Triple Protection additives. That matters on potable-adjacent and food service jobs: Cryo-Tek -100/AL and the other Cryo-Tek products are GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) for incidental contact with food.
3) Do I have to run Cryo-Tek -100/AL full strength, or can I cut it with water?

Full strength gives the maximum freeze protection; in milder climates a diluted mix is the normal approach. Mix to the chart rather than guessing, since dilution also thins the inhibitor package.

The -100/AL version is the aluminum-specific formula. If your heat exchanger is aluminum, this is the one. For systems without an aluminum heat exchanger, Oatey's standard Cryo-Tek products cover the same freeze and corrosion duty without the aluminum-targeted formulation, so there is no reason to pay for the AL blend.
6) How do I tell Cryo-Tek -100/AL apart from other glycol already in a system?
It is dyed orange. If you drain a sample and it runs orange, you are most likely looking at Cryo-Tek -100/AL rather than one of the other Cryo-Tek colors. Order by Oatey part number 35283 to repeat the same fluid on a service call.
