Houzer ASCPU-460 Ascend Series Integrated Single Handle Pull-Up Kitchen Faucet

Houzer ASCPU-460 Ascend Integrated pull-up kitchen faucet combines innovation, versatility and 70 years of faucet craftsmanship into a uniquely designed and patented faucet manufactured by Houzer available in 3 color finish options. The Ascend features an innovative, lightweight and ergonomic pull-up hand spray that is integrated into the rear of this chic contemporary faucet. When the hand spray is docked into the faucet, the flow is diverted to the primary high-profile 90° spout to handle large kitchenware. Fitted with a removable and easy-to-clean AeroFlo aerator, the Ascend provides a 1.75 GPM water flow, combined with the versatility of a dual-function stream or wide-angle spray. This easy-grip, wand-type hand spray is connected to our UltraBraid Nylon hoses, allowing the hand spray to pulls out 20+ inches for extra-long reach. Easily fill pots or cleaning buckets outside of your sink with the durability and flexibility of XtendHose technology. Houzer’s proprietary quick-connect interlock system and oversized locknut provide easy installation and durability to last for the lifetime of the faucet. The Ascend’s ergonomic water control handle is precision-engineered for ultra-smooth forward action that stops at 90° pointing up, preventing it from hitting the backsplash. Houzer guarantees a lifetime of reliable and leak-proof water control with our CeraDox Ceramic disc cartridge. The entire body of the Ascend faucet is constructed of solid brass from start to finish in our ISO-certified Houzer factory in Israel. More than just a brand name, as a manufacturer we have over 70 years of experience in faucet craftsmanship. This gives Houzer the confidence to stand by our Limited Lifetime Warranty on all our faucets. All Houzer faucets are ICC-certified to meet or exceed US State and Federal plumbing codes and low lead safety standards.

Houzer ASCPU-460-BN – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the handle on the Houzer Ascend faucet hit my backsplash if I mount it close to the wall?
No. The Ascend's temperature control handle uses forward action and stops at 90 degrees pointing straight up, so it never swings back toward the wall. That is the point of the design, and it is why this faucet works on shallow decks where a rear-lever faucet would bind against the backsplash.
2) Is the Houzer Ascend faucet ADA compliant for a commercial or multi-family kitchen?
Yes, the ASCPU-460 is listed as ADA compliant, and it is ICC certified to meet or exceed US state and federal plumbing codes and low lead safety standards. A single-lever handle is what makes the ADA claim work, since it can be operated without tight grasping or twisting. Note the product carries a Prop 65 designation, which matters if you are buying into California.
3) What is a pull-up sprayhead, and how is it different from a normal pull-down kitchen faucet?
On the Houzer Ascend, the hand spray is integrated into the rear of the faucet body rather than being the spout itself. You lift the wand up and out of its rear dock instead of pulling the spout head down. When the wand is docked, flow is diverted to the primary high-profile 90 degree spout, so you get a full open spout for filling stockpots rather than spraying through a sprayhead. A conventional pull-down runs every drop through the sprayhead. If you wash large kitchenware and want unobstructed spout flow most of the time, the pull-up arrangement is the one to pick.
4) How far does the spray wand on the Houzer ASCPU-460 reach outside the sink?
The wand pulls out 20-plus inches on Houzer's UltraBraid nylon XtendHose, which is enough to reach every edge of the bowl and to fill a mop bucket or cleaning bucket set on the floor or counter beside the sink. That reach is the practical reason to choose it over a fixed-spout faucet in a janitorial or multi-family kitchen.
5) What flow rate does the Houzer ASCPU-460 deliver, and can I get a spray pattern out of it?
1.75 GPM through a removable AeroFlo aerator that you can pull and clean when it scales up. The hand spray is dual function, giving you either a concentrated stream or a wide-angle spray. At 1.75 GPM it sits under the 2.2 GPM federal kitchen maximum, which matters if you are specifying to a water-conservation requirement.
6) What finishes does the Houzer Ascend ASCPU-460 come in if I need to match other fixtures?
Five finishes: Brushed Nickel (ASCPU-460-BN), Matte Black (ASCPU-460-MB), Oil Rubbed Bronze (ASCPU-460-OB), Polished Chrome (ASCPU-460-PC) and Pewter (ASCPU-460-PW). Order by the suffix, not by the base number, if you are standardizing units across a building.
7) Is the Houzer Ascend faucet body solid brass or plastic-cored?
Solid brass through the entire body, built in Houzer's ISO-certified factory in Israel. The valve is a CeraDox ceramic disc cartridge, which is the type of cartridge that holds up in high-cycle kitchens rather than a rubber-washer compression valve. For a property manager replacing units that keep dripping, the cartridge type is the spec that matters more than the finish.
8) How hard is the Houzer ASCPU-460 to install from underneath a tight sink cabinet?
It uses Houzer's quick-connect interlock system with an oversized locknut, so the supply connection snaps together and the mounting tightens from below without needing a basket wrench on a small nut. Houzer publishes both an installation instruction sheet and a spec sheet for the ASCPU-460, and the spec sheet is what you want in hand before you cut or drill a deck.
