Houzer BG-1300 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Which Houzer sinks does the BG-1300 bottom grid actually fit?
The BG-1300 Wirecraft grid is custom sized for two Houzer sink models only: CS-1307 and 1515-6BS. It is not a universal grid. If your bowl is a different Houzer model or another brand, this one will either rock on the bowl radius or sit short of the walls, so match the sink model number before ordering.
2) What size is the Houzer BG-1300 sink grid?
It measures 8-5/8 x 11-1/16 x 1 inches. Use those numbers against your bowl's flat bottom area, not the rim opening, since the grid has to clear the bowl's corner radius to sit flat.
3) Will a bottom grid stop my stainless sink from getting scratched and rattling?
That is the job of the BG-1300. It sits off the sink floor on protective plastic feet so pots and dishes never touch the bowl surface, which keeps scratch marks off the bottom and cuts the drumming noise when water and dishes hit the sink. The feet also keep the grid from sliding around while you wash.
4) Is the Houzer BG-1300 grid stainless steel, and what finish does it come in?
Stainless steel construction, supplied in satin stainless. The satin surface is a close visual match to a brushed stainless bowl, so it does not stand out when the sink is empty.
5) Is this grid meant for a kitchen sink or can it go in a bath or utility bowl?
The BG-1300 is a kitchen sink accessory, sized to the two Houzer kitchen bowls it was built for. Since fit depends on the exact bowl footprint rather than the room, dropping it into a bath or utility basin only works if that basin's flat bottom happens to take an 8-5/8 by 11-1/16 inch grid.
