1) What wire size does the Sta-Kon RB483 ring terminal take?
The RB483 is sized for 16-14 AWG conductors. That is the blue insulation color code on nylon insulated terminals, so if the barrel on the wire you are replacing is blue, this is the same range. For 22-16 AWG you need a red terminal, and for 12-10 AWG a yellow one.

The RB483 uses a nylon insulating sleeve. Nylon resists abrasion and cut-through from panel edges and wire bundles better than vinyl, and it takes a crimp without splitting, which is why it is the usual choice for industrial panel work over a vinyl insulated terminal of the same 16-14 AWG range.
