1) What wire size does the Sta-Kon RK737 ring terminal take?
The RK737 is built for 3/0 AWG conductor. It is a copper barrel terminal, so it crimps onto copper cable of that size. If your feeder is 2/0 or 4/0, this is the wrong barrel and the crimp will not hold.

3) Is a nylon insulated ring terminal better than a bare compression lug for panel work?
Two different jobs. The RK737 comes with the nylon sleeve already on it, so the barrel and the strip point are covered once crimped and you do not have to add heat shrink or tape, which is why it suits panel, control cabinet, and motor connection terminations at up to 600 V. A bare compression lug is what you use when you intend to shrink over it yourself or when the connection sits inside a sealed enclosure with its own insulation scheme. A ring, rather than a spade or fork, also means the connection cannot back off the stud if the nut loosens, which matters on vibrating equipment and grounding.
4) Can the Sta-Kon RK737 be used on aluminum conductor?
No. The RK737 barrel is copper, so it is intended for copper conductor. Aluminum feeders need a terminal rated AL or AL9CU for that service.
5) Why is the Sta-Kon 3/0 ring terminal yellow?
Yellow is the color code on the nylon insulation sleeve, and on heavy gauge Sta-Kon terminals it identifies the barrel size at a glance on a crowded panel.
