1) How many doors does the Isonas Pure Access Cloud 3-year license cover?
This Pure Access Cloud subscription covers 6 to 20 doors for a 3-year term. If your site runs 5 or fewer access points, you want the smaller door-count tier instead, and past 20 doors you step up to the next tier. Count every Isonas reader controller you plan to manage, not just exterior openings.
2) What information do I have to include with the order for the Isonas Pure Access Cloud license?
It ships as a factory download, so the order notes have to carry the site name, the license key number if this is a renewal, the time zone, and the email address of the installer who will maintain the software. Leave any of those out and the download cannot be processed.
3) What happens to my doors if the internet connection to the cloud drops?
The Isonas reader controllers fall back to local mode and keep making access decisions on their own if the connection to AWS is lost. Credentials already pushed down keep working at the door; you lose live administration and real-time reporting until the link comes back.
4) Should I go with Pure Access Cloud or the on-premise version?
Pure Access comes two ways: Pure Access Cloud, fully hosted on Amazon Web Services, and Pure Access Manager, which runs on premise. Cloud suits you if you do not want a server to maintain and you are managing sites across more than one location or geography, since administration happens from a browser, tablet or phone. If your facility policy keeps access control data on your own hardware, Pure Access Manager is the on-premise option. This part number is the hosted Cloud license.
5) Does this license work with card readers other than Isonas?
Pure Access is built to install, administer and manage Isonas Pure IP access control hardware. The platform and the reader controllers are one system, so plan on Isonas Pure IP reader controllers at the doors this license covers.
6) Is this a new Isonas license or a renewal?
It is written as a 3-year subscription renewal license for the 6 to 20 door tier. That is why the order notes ask for your existing license key number when you are renewing. Same part covers the subscription term either way, but supply the key if you are extending an existing Pure Access Cloud site.
7) What does the basic tier of Pure Access Cloud include compared to a higher tier?
This one is the basic access control tier: door and cardholder administration, scheduling and management of your Pure IP hardware through the hosted platform. Isonas sells higher feature levels separately, so if you need functionality beyond core access control, order the corresponding tier rather than assuming it is bundled here.
8) Can my staff manage doors from a phone instead of a workstation?
Yes. Pure Access is administered from a mobile device, tablet or a modern browser, with no client software to load on a PC. That is what makes it workable for a property manager covering scattered buildings rather than sitting at one security desk.
