It is a 3/4 inch (19.05 mm) offset pivot, so the door has to be hung offset, not center hung and not butt hinged. On a hollow metal or wood door, look at a different pivot.
2) Do I need to order the IP-22 pivot left hand or right hand?
Handing matters. The IP-22 is sold as a left hand (LH) or right hand (RH) pivot, so you pick the hand that matches the door you are working on. Order the wrong hand and it will not mount. Each hand is offered in clear and in dark bronze.
