Kawneer KW050454 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What does the Kawneer KW050454 fit?
The KW050454 is a Kawneer service replacement part for the Adams Rite 8400 Concealed Panic exit device, configured for a 36 inch device on a 9 foot door. It is sized for that specific device width and door height, so it will not line up on a shorter door or a different device width.
2) Can I buy just this part instead of replacing the whole Adams Rite 8400 exit device?
That is the point of it. The KW050454 is a targeted service component that restores operation of an existing Adams Rite 8400 Concealed Panic device, so the rest of the assembly stays in the door.
3) Is the KW050454 a genuine Kawneer part or an aftermarket copy?
Genuine. It is sourced as an authentic Kawneer service part for the Adams Rite 8400 Concealed Panic system, which matters when a building standardizes on Kawneer storefront and entrance hardware.

Order by model KW050454, described as the Adams Rite 8400 Concealed Panic exit device part for a 36 inch device on a 9 foot door. Those three details, brand, model and the device/door configuration, are what separate it from the other lengths in the same family.
