Kawneer KW911673-40 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What comes in the Kawneer KW911673-40 pull package?
The KW911673-40 is a complete pull set: one interior pull and one exterior pull, plus an integrated slide operator component, finished in Dark Bronze. You are not buying a single pull, so if only one side is damaged you still receive both halves of the set.
2) Will the KW911673-40 pull fit a Kawneer 990 sliding door?
That is exactly what it is built for. The KW911673-40 is a genuine Kawneer service part for the 990 Sliding Door system, so the pull and slide operator match the factory prep on that door. It is not offered as a fit for other Kawneer door series.
3) Will the Dark Bronze finish match the rest of my Kawneer 990 storefront hardware?
The Dark Bronze on the KW911673-40 is factory applied to match existing Kawneer 990 Sliding Door hardware, which is what property managers replacing one opening in a run of storefront doors care about. If your other doors are clear anodized or another Kawneer finish, this set will not blend.
4) Do I have to order the interior and exterior pulls separately for a Kawneer 990 door?
No. The KW911673-40 ships as one package covering both sides of the door along with the slide operator, so a single order number covers the full pull replacement on that leaf.
5) Is this Kawneer pull package rated for commercial traffic or is it a residential part?
It is a commercial part. Kawneer lists the KW911673-40 for commercial sliding door applications, and typical uses run to office entrances, retail storefronts, healthcare and school entryways, and municipal buildings.
6) Is the KW911673-40 an aftermarket pull or an actual Kawneer part?
It is an authentic Kawneer service part, not a look-alike. For distributors and spec-driven jobs that matters, because the profile is extruded to the same dimensions as the original 990 hardware and drops onto the existing prep.
