The M22-D-S is a 22.5 mm operator, so it drops into the standard 22.5 mm panel cutout used across the M22 line. If your enclosure is already punched for 22 mm M22-style devices, no new prep is needed.
2) Does the M22-D-S pushbutton come with contacts, or do I have to order contact blocks separately?
The M22-D-S is the operator only. It ships with a contact block mounting adapter, but the NO and NC contact blocks themselves are a separate order, so decide your contact arrangement before you buy.
3) Is the M22-D-S a maintained or momentary pushbutton?
Momentary. Press and it makes, release and it returns, so it suits start, jog, and reset duty rather than an on/off selector function. If you need the button to stay in after pressing, you need a maintained or latching operator instead.
