1) Will a Milbank U9701 7-terminal socket work on a 3-phase 4-wire 120/208V service?
The U9701 is a 7-jaw, 3-phase ringless meter socket rated 600 volts AC at 60 Hz, so it covers 120/208V and 277/480V three-phase four-wire services within that 600V ceiling. Seven jaws is the standard 3-phase 4-wire configuration. If your service is single phase, this is the wrong socket, you want a 4-jaw or 5-jaw unit instead.
