1) What size door does the NGP 17 rain drip guard cover, and what lengths can I get?
The NGP 17 drip guard comes in 36, 40, 72 and 76 inch lengths. The 36 inch and 40 inch pieces cover a single 3-0 door with a little to trim, and the 72 and 76 inch pieces run across a pair of doors in one piece so there is no seam over the meeting stile. Order the length that spans your opening plus the frame face you want it to overhang, then cut to fit.
2) Do I mount an NGP rain drip guard on the door or on the frame?
Either works, and the choice is about where the water is going. On the frame face above the opening it stays put and sheds water off the head stop, which is the usual commercial install over an exterior entrance. On the door face it moves with the door and is the answer when a canopy or transom rules out frame mounting. The 17 has slotted screw holes, so you get some up and down adjustment to line it up over the head weatherstrip rather than being stuck with the first hole location.
3) Does the NGP 17 drip guard come with fasteners, or do I need to buy screws separately?
Screws are in the box. It ships with #6 x 3/4 inch stainless steel sheet metal screws, which is the right metal for an exterior head where a plated steel screw would bleed rust down the frame within a season. Nothing else is needed for a standard fastened install.
4) Can I install a rain drip guard without drilling into an aluminum storefront frame?

The 17 is extruded from 6063-T5 aluminum alloy, which does not rust, and the mill finish is the bare alloy rather than a coating that can chip or peel. Paired with the stainless screws there is no dissimilar-metal rust streak on the frame. Mill is unfinished silver, so on a dark bronze or black anodized storefront it will read as a bright line above the door.
6) Will a rain drip guard stop water leaking under my door?
No, and this is the wrong part for that. A drip guard mounts at the head and sheds water off the top of the opening so it does not run down the face and in behind the head weatherstrip. Water coming in at the floor is a job for a door bottom or sweep and a threshold. On a leaking exterior opening the drip guard is one piece of the assembly, not the whole fix.
